Junior Doctor Training

Foundation Year 2 Junior doctors on training programmes at the Princess Royal University Hospital, have four-month placements in the practice, to gain experience in General Practice. This is an essential part of the training of future doctors. You will be notified when making your appointment .

Practice Manager

The practice manager deals with administrative or non-medical aspects of the practice. Patients wishing to comment on the services provided by the practice should contact her.

Receptionists

The practice employs nine receptionists, whose job is to ease the flow of consultations of patients with doctors, thereby enabling as many patients to be seen as possible during the working day.

Attached Staff

Associated Health Professionals

The practice has associated health professionals as part of Beckenham PCN. This includes Clinical Pharmacists, Dietitians and a Social Prescriber. 

District Nurses

Their duties are similar to those of the practice nurse but mainly involve visiting patients in their homes and the care of the sick in the community. They are based at Beckenham Beacon where they can be contacted on 01689 866712.

Health Visitors

They are involved in the care of pre-school children and routine support of the family. They are also based at Beckenham Beacon (01689 86626). Baby clinics are held on Thursday afternoon in the Neighbourhood Church, Cromwell Road between 1.30 and 3.30pm.

Community Midwife

The midwife covers all aspects of maternity care until the baby is at least 10 days old. The community midwife is based at Beckenham Beacon but also holds a clinic in the practice on a Tuesday afternoon.

Counsellors

Counselling is available via self referral or by referral from a doctor. Please ask.
